Key Repair Process Guidelines Repairs must be completed at an approved VVRP repair facility: - Only VVRP-approved shops can carry out repairs covered by the program, ensuring high-quality diesel performance and emissions compliance. - The shop directly bills the program through Gordon-Darby Arizona Testing / GDAT. - These shops undergo screening by ADEQ and must maintain impressive success rates (often over 90% for re-tests). Repairs must address emissions-related issues: - The focus is on fixing the underlying problems that caused the initial emissions test failure, in line with performance diesel products standards. - Shops utilize diagnostic tools and standardized estimating software, like Mitchell 1, for accurate estimates and invoicing. Guarantee on repairs: - Approved shops guarantee their work based on the original failure factors. - If the vehicle fails a re-test for the same issues after repairs, the shop is required to cover any additional emissions repairs at no extra cost to the owner or the program. Timeline: - The vehicle must be taken to an approved shop within 60 days of program approval/enrollment. - A diagnosis and estimate will be provided, and the owner must approve repairs after paying the $100 co-pay. Re-testing: - After repairs, the vehicle should be returned to any emissions testing station to confirm it passes. - Some approved shops may also handle re-testing on your behalf (be sure to ask ahead).
